Dock Tunes
iPod Dock and Speakers for Dock Pilings

Dock Tunes
If you have your own boat and your own dock, this gadget might interest you. Dick came across Dock Tunes at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show last week. From TuffDock Systems, the new gadget is so new that it’s not yet on their website (except for a link back to Dick’s site), at the time of the release of this episode. TuffDock makes rugged PVC pilings for boat docks. Dock Tunes comes in a pair of mock pilings, one of which has a cover that lifts up to reveal an iPod dock, plus a speaker, and another speaker is in the other dock piling.
Gizneyland Guest
This week, Dick has a guest in his studio, Richie Hernandez.
Episode 1000
Dick and Leo confirm again that they will be doing Episode 1000 at CES 2010.
A New Sponsor
Tomorrow’s TTTT will be jam-packed with goodies. Leo will reveal a new sponsor (first unveiled in yesterday’s This Week In Tech), his new car, Starbucks holiday drinks, play the Festive Letters Jingle, and read a letter.
The Ultimate Ludwik Package: back to Poland again
Mark Bendykowski, an expatriate aircraft mechanic at a helicopter maintenance centre in Warsaw, Poland, ordered the Ultimate Ludwik Package (for its origin, check out Episode 773), plus a GizWizBiz Cap. Dick wanted to make sure that Mark did want an extra cap as one would be included in the package. One day Mark was driving in his car and got a call on his iPhone, from the Giz Wiz himself – while he was listening to Episode 881!
MyUS.com
For our international listeners outside the United States who pine after Daily Giz Wiz gadgets but can’t get them because of shipping restrictions or disproportionate shipping costs, Mark has a suggestion. MyUS.com can give you a US delivery address, even make the purchases for you if a US credit card is needed, amalgamates your purchases and ships them in one go using DHL or FedEx. Great idea!
NEWS: MAD Disco
From time to time, Dick manages to unearth from the dark reaches of Dick’s Gadget Warehouse or under his bed some old MAD stuff. He’s done it again and this time it’s a special edition of MAD, called MAD DISCO, that comes with a vinyl record of disco hits spoofs. Disco was and remains Dick’s favourite genre, and the idea of MAD DISCO was conceived by Dick himself. You can buy a copy (or at least read about it) on Dick’s site, at MAD Collectables.
